UDI Label Preflight Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using UDI Label Preflight, the user agrees to these Terms of Use.

2. License

Yunfan Labs grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices the user owns or controls, subject to applicable Apple terms and these Terms of Use.

3. Nature of the app

UDI Label Preflight is an independent data-preflight tool for decoding supported GS1 DataMatrix content, checking selected GS1 data-syntax rules, comparing decoded values with user-provided approved values, and creating a traceable PDF report.

The app does not grade barcode print quality, contrast, dimensions, quiet zones, or ISO verification quality. It does not replace a professional barcode verifier and does not provide GS1, FDA, regulatory, legal, or conformity certification. A camera-decodable symbol is not necessarily compliant or print-ready.

4. User responsibility

You are responsible for entering the correct approved values, reviewing every warning and failure, preserving appropriate source records, and obtaining any separate print-quality, regulatory, quality-system, or legal review required for the label.

Do not rely on a Pass result as the sole basis for regulatory release, manufacturing approval, or bulk-print authorization outside the data-preflight scope stated in the report.

5. Features and availability

Camera scanning and label photography depend on Camera permission and compatible Apple hardware. Manual raw-data entry remains available when camera scanning is unavailable. PDF sharing depends on destinations installed or configured by the user. Rules and supported Application Identifiers may change in later app versions; saved reports retain their recorded app and rule versions.

GS1 and other organization names are used only to identify data formats or scope. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by GS1, FDA, or any regulator.

6. No warranty

The app and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Yunfan Labs does not warrant that the app will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every label, device, scanner, jurisdiction, or quality-system decision.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yunfan Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from misuse of the app or unreasonable reliance on app content without adequate verification.

8. Updates and termination

Yunfan Labs may update the app, content, or these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use after an update means the user accepts the updated terms. Rights under these terms end automatically if the user fails to comply with them.
